Learning and Evaluation

Cloud Chamber are delighted to be working with The Children’s Society and partners to evaluate the Coordinated Crisis Support Programme.

The Coordinated Crisis Support Programme is working with four pilot sites (Tower Hamlets, Oldham, Norfolk and Swansea) to find innovative, joined-up and pragmatic ways to address the gap in emergency financial support provision through better networking of local agencies involved in the provision of emergency assistance.

The evaluation will assess the impact of 3 strands of the Coordinated Crisis Support programme. Firstly, the impact on service users i.e. individuals and households who experience crisis. Secondly, the impact on organisations involved in delivering the innovative solutions under the Crisis Support Programme. And thirdly, the extent to which learning from the programme has been recognised beyond the 4 pilot sites.

We have co-designed a programme-level Theory of Change and outcomes include amongst others:

  • Service users are more able to recognise when they are approaching crisis
  • Service users have a more dignified experience of accessing crisis support and systems
  • Increased opportunities to share learning between service providers
  • Increased capacity of service providers to provide and deliver aftercare

Cloud Chamber are working closely with The Children’s Society analysts to identify indicators for assessing impact. Cloud Chamber are leading on the qualitative data collation to evidence the impact of the programme and to inform “what works” when supporting people in crisis and the systems that surround them.
